How to manually copy objects from TEST folder to LIVE

Sometimes in Sage ERP X3, you’re required to manually copy objects from TEST to LIVE. The process is simple and can be applied to any X3 object by following these steps:

 

  1. Log into the X3 reference folder as the admin user
  2. Go to Development | Data and Parameters | Tables | Tables
    1. Find the object in the list and verify it doesn’t exist in LIVE
    2. If it doesn’t exist, click “Copy” in the X3 Reference Folder

    3. Enter the LIVE folder as the destination and click “OK”
    4. The program will request the admin password for LIVE

  1. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Screens | Screens
  2. Find the object in the list and verify it doesn’t exist in LIVE

    1. If it doesn’t exist, click “Copy” in the X3 Reference Folder

    2. Enter the LIVE folder as the destination and click “OK”

    3. Then you can verify the screen exists in LIVE
  1. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Windows
  2. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Objects
  3. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Actions | Actions
  4. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Functions
  5. Go to Development | Data and Parameters | Development Setup | Parameter Definitions
  6. Go to Development | Data and Parameters | Tables | Local Menus – Messages
  7. Go to Development | Processing Dictionary | Reports
